Artist Management Assistant (Internship)

Heroic is a music management agency that Empowers Creators to positively impact culture. We're headquartered in The Netherlands and have team members around the globe. We provide artist management, record label and publishing services to our Creators.

As Artist Management Assistant you will assist our Artist Managers, front-line and back-line services to improve the careers of our artists. Activities include desk research, metadata management, scheduling of meetings, procuring travel and hospitality for our artists, assisting with marketing, DSP sales and social media activities and generally making yourself of value to our team and clients. This is a paid internship.


  • Day-to-day assistance: You’ll work with our management team and agents; scheduling releases, advancing shows, planning tours. Finding new PR contacts, reaching out to appropriate bloggers, YouTube promoters, Spotify playlisters. Product managing new releases, uploading to various channels, working with labels, setting up download gates. working with the artists on the music end.
  • Publishing admin: You’ll make sure all of our artists’ releases are properly administered on the back end. Metadata management. Administrate paperwork and work with our legal team and financial team.
  • Social media management: Upkeep of social media for all artist’s posts. You’ll work with the artists to help write copy for social media posts, schedule posts ahead of time in timely fashion, procure content (lifestyle, show footage, etc.) and set up official announcements while still retaining the artist’s unique voice.
  • Executive assistance to management team: Scheduling meetings, arranging calls, taking meeting minutes, monitoring execution of to-dos.



  • Experience in the music industry, in whatever fashion. Understanding of copyright, music publishing and digital marketing. Music industry experience in writing or blogging are all bonuses.
  • Fluent in English. Fluent in Dutch is a bonus.
  • Ability to multi-task and juggle multiple projects. We work with multiple artists all of whom have their own respective tours, releases, schedules, and deadlines to meet and make. The ability to switch tasks seamlessly and balance multiple things is crucial to success.
  • Work hard, play hard mentality. Uncertain work hours. You’ll work with an international team based in different timezones.
  • Willing to try, not afraid to fail. You need a willingness to learn and master unfamiliar skills. We operate in a unique, non-traditional way and require you to adapt to our operations. We are after learning and embrace that failure is a part of that process.
  • Bonus points if you have experience managing social media and doing graphic design. Our managers will require assistance with social media management and it's helpful if you have run socials and are a master of the Adobe Suite. Experience with photography and videography are perks too.
  • This opportunity has to be your #1 focus. You'll be the direct support for one or two managers and we will invest significantly in your development. The industry requires you to be reactive and flexible and thus we need you to be able to focus on this job, whilst we're understanding that you may need to do something on the side to make ends meet.
  • Able to work 40+ hour/week (including weekends). Ability to work in-person with our Artist Managers in Los Angeles, New York City, New Orleans and Toronto is a significant perk. For remote consideration, it's important you're on a North American timezone as we're currently hiring assistants for managers in that region.

Heroic is a start-up and this position is an opportunity for those with ambitions in the music industry to gain experience and grow with us. To be considered, experience is a bonus, however we're all about hiring smart and ambitious individuals who have a desire to learn. This internship program is a traineeship and we intend to keep candidates for 6 to 12 months, however we offer job opportunities to the most promising candidates if we have the need and means to do so.
